From his
birth, in Kingston Jamaica to Mr. And Mrs. Barington Davis in 1961, Chris’
moments have led him from his beginnings at Lakewood High School, to an
internship with a leading New York photography studio. Through
Chris Davis’ inimitable eye and creative touch he portrays moments that he has
captured for eternity.
Chris
has photographs all the phases that represent the joy of the Bride and her
day. His photo journalism is at a superior level. His photos have been
published in local and national newspapers including the St. Petersburg Times
and The Tampa Tribune. His photos have also accompanied an array of articles.
The
artistic photos show not only his unique and beguiling choice of subjects but
also shows samples of Chris' intricate technique of “crosswatch”, a technique
that starts with black and white prints, and then is desaturated and finally a
cross watch filter. Chris has a revealing retrospective of Michael Jordan.
Davis truly believes in giving back to his
community, and has in many ways. He donates senior portrait packages to needy
students, has worked with NCCJ, (a corporation that helps promote racial
tolerance and handy-cap awareness, among other prejudices). He has donated
much time to Sidewalk Sunday school in Jordan Park and James Park. Another
passion of his is being a youth leader at Pinellas Community Church in South
St. Petersburg, where he resides with his father, wife, and stepson.
